Gu Family Book - Season 2 Questions Answered

The Finale of the hit KDrama, The Gu Family Book or Kang Chi, The Beginning left lot of things unanswered. I for one was fuming and you can see my review of the Gu Family book Here.  Incase you want to know the short version of my rant, its that I have never felt this unsatisfied and betrayed by any drama till date. 

Anyhow, though I was not able to find the source, I did read in one of the forums of how the writer had started out the series with a Season 2 in mind. However, this aint happening! :( This might be why the story felt more like the beginning rather than a whole package. But this is my speculation. 

But what is not speculation is that the Production house have decided not to have a season 2 for the Gu Family Book... yet. Things might change and I hope to God that they do. But until then, I am left with FanVids of Gu Family Book 2.

      I've just watched all of season 1 n it's September 2020 in Australia, n I'd love to see season 2, I enjoy watching these types of shows, n thank goodness they've all got subtitles, I'm slowly learning a new language, ����

    it's 2018 and i'm still hoping for a season two, now that Lee sung gi is back on the screen my hopes are high up until the roof, until it happens i have his new drama to keep me happy!

    How they could not come up with the season 2 of this hit if they have teasers on it? Instead they paired again the main casts in Vagabond why not put them back also in Season 2? I'm dying to see againMy Lee Seung Gi wearing that Green eyes of a Divine Creature...just to share only.... :(

    I just watch season 1. Very good and very sad too. I hope for a new season, because the end of season 1 was heartbreak. If i know that in all serie i will just cry and be angry, one for the rape and for the deaths, i'll never watch it, but now i just want to continue because i hope for a happy end.

    I cannot even describe how angry I was after watching this. This was for me my top Korean drama. And then the ending came and made me a very depressed and grumpy person 😂😂 season 2 I probably unlikely, but I've always got my fingers crossed for it. I need closure 😣😣😟

    2020 a very hard year. I believed GFB 2 was going to happen but there you go dont believe anyone. Number 1 was great so how about number2. Not that hard I would think.

    The end of the story: in vagabond season 2, CKC comes back with his green eyes. Everyone finds out that he is a divine creature and that's why they couldn't kill him all the time :)
    Just kidding, hope we will see Gu family book 2 one day.

    Honestly, after I've finished the Season 1 of Vagabond I can't get enough of Bae Suzy and Lee Seung Gi because their chemistry is really amazing, that's the reason why I discovered Gu Family Book. Right now, I just finished watching the Season 1 of Gu Family Book and out of all the k-drama that I've watched, I can literally say that this is definitely the best k-drama for me. So please!     Honestly, after I've finished the Season 1 of Vagabond I can't get enough of Bae Suzy and Lee Seung Gi because their chemistry is really amazing, that's the reason why I discovered Gu Family Book.     Just finished watching, really loved this show but I get why people were a bit let down by the ending - there is SO much potential for a second season there, I can't understand why they didn't do it? I for one would watch the hell out of it. Have that horribly fantastic villain Jo Gwan-woong be reincarnated as a corrupt politician with a secret ID as an organised crime boss who has everyone deceived... except for Choi Kang-chi, of course, and he teams up with Dam Yeo-wool reincarnated as a tough, wayward detective to bring him down? I don't care that it's been 10 years, Signal just got a second season after 8 years so it could happen :)

    2024 has come and soon to be 2025, Seems like Season 2 might not happen, we dont know for sure but for me it was a good show, i feel sad that its been so long and no news for a new season to be made. Thank you for the wonderful story, well done ^^
